Ohio Avenue Block Party

Block Party is Saturday, June 26, 2004
The Ohio Avenue Block Party is open to anyone living on or near Ohio Avenue and the people they invite. Bring a chair, food to grill, beverage and a dish to pass, plus utensils and plates for yourself.

We may not have a balloon arch this year, so feel free to initiate any decorating projects you may have.

The block will be closed to traffic after 2 p.m., so please plan your egress accordingly.

2 p.m.
lThe street-closing permit commences.
3 p.m.
Ohio Avenue closes between Bashford and LaFollette. Please move your car before 3 p.m.
3:30 p.m.
Children start riding their bikes in the middle of the street.
4-5 p.m.
Set up grills and tables. Start socializing.
5:15 p.m.
Gather to parade around Talmadge and Jackson streets. Meet in front of 169 Ohio. Bring instruments (especially drums and trumpets), banners, decorated bicycles and wagons, creative hats, noisemakers, etc.
5:30 p.m.
Parade starts.
5:50 p.m.
Block photo taken.
6 p.m
The party continues. Bring food to grill, a dish to pass, beverage, silverware, plate, lawn chair.
7 p.m.

Talent show, cinematic diversations and perhaps other surprises. Bring along a copy of the Ohio Avenue Song.
